COMMUNITY EVENTS
Pingelly Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service is committed to helping the community. Before the heat of Summer sets in, the Pingelly Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service in conjunction with the Shire of Pingelly carries out hazard reduction burns within the town area. The burns are a sure method of reducing areas of heavy weed growth and contribute to the overall safety of the community. The Pingelly Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service has been engaged in hazard reduction burns since the early 1960's.
The Pingelly Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service is also involved in the Anzac Day March as well as Guarding the Eternal Flame. Members guard the Eternal Flame from 6.00pm on the 24th April until 6.00pm 25th April, Anzac Day. Members also participate in the Dawn Service.
Two events that the Pingelly Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service is proud to deliver to the Pingelly community are the Christmas Day Santa Run and the Easter Bunny Run. Both these events are well received by the Pingelly community and members are happy to board the Big Red Fire truck and deliver happiness to the local young and not so young!
